The New Year Challenge !

Image
As I write this it's countdown down to the end of 2020, and hello 2021. Indeed we have every reason to thank God for enabling us to see the end of this year(2020). It was a year full of a lot of uncertainties so many would have loved to see the end of 2020 but they simply didn't make it. Let me be the the first to wish you A Happy New Year, To me it's New Beginnings.   Let me introduce you to the New Year Challenge,  all you will need is a Jar or a huge container & each day when something happens that is worth a Thanksgiving you simply take a piece of paper and write that thing you are grateful of and place it inside the Jar. And come the end of 2021 you will have more reasons to say Imela Papa Imela. It could be the best 2021 Family Challenge.

Touch A Life

Someone once said 'You are not too poor to give neither are you too Rich to Receive'   Ooh yes Christmas is on Friday, and with all we have gone through this year, Christmas may not be exciting for everyone. Ooh yes it's been a tough year and a lot has happened in the lives of people. Some lost their Jobs, closed business or were even forced to relocate back to the Village. For them who have nothing there is nothing to look forward to this festive season. Then there are those in Children homes or abandoned they do not know what it means to have a family during the festive seasons they are used to being alone. We all seem to be busy with our lives, not being mindful of our brothers and sisters. Humanity has become so self centered all we hear these days is Me, Myself and I. And there is need to break this mentality.  And so this Christmas season make a difference in another person's life. Its the little things that count and matter even if it means bu...

Christmas Back in the Day

Image
Ooh Yes here in Kenya each year after Jamuhuri Day, the Christmas Countdown begins. It's exactly a week to Christmas. Let me tell you for me Christmas back in the days, as we grew up was memorable something you look back with laughter and smiles over the experiences. I remember immediately schools closed my dearest mother together with her wonderful sisters would transport/ship we their dear children to the Village. Nakuru, Njoro to be precise is like home to me literary. And the hosts who happened to be my maternal grandparents were just wonderful & may their souls Rest In Perfect Peace🙏🙏🙏 In a village setup when the kids from the city arrived it was indeed a big deal, it was the talk of the village never mind the never ending stares from the villagers you could definitely differentiate someone from the city and a village dweller. But friendships were still formed. You see this is where our bond as cousins was formed and strengthened, for a whole month especially as girls...

Let's Talk About Honey

Image
Honey seems to be the new Sugar in town. There is a shift taking place from Sugar to Honey and not just any other honey but Natural, Sweet,  organic and unadulterated Honey. It's rich in Vitamin B6, Riboflavin, Calcium and Copper. The main source of this precious commodity is the bees which harvest the nectar and convert the sugary liquid to honey. The uses, benefits of this precious commodity are endless. Honey is like medicine, it has a lot of healing properties. Honey has many uses, the most common being in our breakfast tables it is the commodity that is slowly replacing soluble sugar. This works perfectly especially for those who are diabetic and need some sort of sugar in their bodies because honey is ''Less bad Sugar'' & it aids in  shedding a few pounds. Do you have a cold, Sore Th...
